I was born and raised in Ottawa, Canada\u2019s capital city, and my first language is French. I am currently a student at Concordia University in Montreal, majoring in Painting and Drawing. I attended De La Salle Secondary School and there, I studied in the Visual Arts Concentration. My art teachers at this school were very encouraging and became important mentors to me. One of them organized my first solo exhibit held at the school in April 2019. I have also taken a number of classes at the Ottawa School of Art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I participated in the City of Ottawa competition \u201cYoung at Art\u201d every year during my secondary education. I had the privilege of being selected three times, in 2019, in 2020 and in 2022. In the two latter years, I won an award in the painting category. Moreover, I\u2019ve participated in two outdoor art festivals, the New Art Festival in The Glebe and Art on the Farm. From July 2021 to April 2022, my art was shown at the ARTprior Gallery in Arnprior, Ontario. Since the fall of 2020, it has been displayed at the Art House Caf\u00e9 in Centretown Ottawa. Near the end of my high school diploma, art students in the graduating class, regardless of their concentration, were invited to participate in a competition for an award called the \u201cPrix d\u2019excellence\u201d. Three awards are handed out each year and I had the privilege of being awarded second place, which placed me first in the Visual Arts Concentration.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When I was twelve, I spent a year in France, taking art classes and exploring museums and galleries. My interest was primarily in drawing, but throughout the year, I developed a strong interest in painting, which has since become my main form of expression.
